Son William joined Rachel again today for the 4th of his 5 days supporting mum and Hidden Needs Trust.

Rachel will be running in loops around Sherborne, starting and finishing at the SPFit personal training studio (Unit B1 South Western Business Park, Sherborne DT9 3PS) which celebrated its first anniversary on this day!

Owner Simon has been Rachel’s PT during preparations for her Epic Run.

Todays run from SPFit (flexible start time - legs now getting tired!) will be via Digby Rd, Long St, St Swithens Rd, past the Toy Barn and on to OBORNE, POYNTINGTON, SANDFORD ORCAS then along Sandford Road back to The Crown on Green Hill, Sherborne for refreshments, before heading back to SPFit.  This run loop covers 10 miles and will be completed twice giving two opportunities for supporters to cheer her along on her 23rd marathon.

The Crown (Greenhill, Sherborne DT9 4EP) was open from 9:30am – 3pm for drinks and food including breakfast

as well as being Rachel’s water and resting station.

You will also find information about HNT and the days run – look out for the HNT banner and of course there were opportunities to donate to HNT and help kids with SEN.

The final leg of today’s marathon just 6-7 miles!! will take Rachel through the castle park to Haydon and back, before doing a final loop around Sherborne, culminating in the run down Cheap St, past Sainsbury and the Station, back to SPFit where there were HNT collection pots!

ETA approx 1:45pm.

At 2pm, the internationally renowned Broga expert Matt Millar was taking the SPFit clients through a Broga class, which have been a big part of  Rachel's training regime.

Rachel ended her 23rd marathon at 1:45pm at SPFit where she did her warm down stretches and welcomed people to come along and talk to her about Hidden Needs Trust.

Total recorded mileage today:27.5 miles

For safety reasons some run routes had to be revised at the last minute due to weather conditions. Rachel's risk assessments were made on a daily basis due to wet conditions making both on and off road conditions treacherous.

Rachel's personal safety being foremost.
Daily marathons were completed even if indoors facilities had to be used.  Pre - arranged run events were supported.
